Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% Apr 1–Mon, 2.2% from Jan 1
MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation amounted to 0.1% between April 1 and Monday and reached 2.2% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said Wednesday.
Prices for buckwheat rose 1.1% in the reported week, for frozen fish 0.6%, for tea, margarine, pasta, rye bread by 0.3–0.4%.
Egg prices fell 0.8%, pork and sugar prices decreased 0.4%, and poultry prices went down 0.3%.
Fruit and vegetable prices remained flat on average in the period. Prices for tomatoes rose 4.8%, for cabbage 2.2%, and carrot prices increased 1.5%. Cucumber prices fell 5.6% and potato and apple prices decreased 0.2%.
Gasoline prices rose 0.1% and diesel fuel prices fell 0.1%.
